Unlimited Visions, while dedicated to helping those struggling with a substance use disorder, cares about educating people so they can avoid developing a substance use disorder. We have two Prevention services that show the benefits from abstaining from alcohol and drugs, Youth Prevention Indicated (YPI) and Youth Prevention Selective (YPS). The goal of our youth prevention indicated (YPI) services is to show through personalized interaction the benefits of abstaining from alcohol and drugs. While YPI is actively involved in the schools, our prevention specialists also connect with the community through nature maintenance, coalition involvement, city council appearances, and elderly engagement. Our services are offered through groups, individual sessions, volunteering and presentations. Any potential participant, parent, and/or organization can gain more knowledge by contacting our Baytown location.
The goal of our youth prevention selective (YPS) services is to educate parents and children about establishing boundaries and making healthy choices. Our prevention specialists give presentations tailored to youth and adults. The following topics have been discussed:
- Developing a Positive Response
- Developing Positive Parental Influences
- Developing Independence and Responsibility
- Raising Resilient Youth
- Getting Real
Our services are offered through groups, individual sessions, parent groups, and case management. Any potential participant, parent, and/or organization can gain more knowledge by contacting our Baytown location.
